Celebrating Alabama's Centennial of Service in the First World War

As the state readies to commemorate the one hundredth anniversary of Alabama's key role in turning the tide in the Allies favor in WWI, we pause to reflect upon and honor those "hometown" heroes who left the comforts of Randolph County, Alabama in 1917 and 1918 to defend liberty in the face of tyranny. (Pictured to the left: Randolph County's World War 1917-1918 statue in Wedowee's city square today.)
